Juan García Esquivel : Cabaret Trágico OST
[ 1957 ]
01 Titulos Principio
02 Cabaret Trágico
03 Tropical
04 La Noche
05 No Es Cierto
06 Pecado Mortal
07 Guarachita
08 Ya Para Qué
09 La Noche
10 Hawaiano
11 Te Engañé
12 Titulos Fin
Holy Mary, mudderagawd; never woulda thought I'd've seen (let alone heard) this 'un. The soundtrack from a Mexican crime drama—his second to last release before heading north to the States. Vocals on five of the tracks by Columba Domínguez, Elsa Cárdenas, Carmen di Lirio, and Kitty de Hoyos.
I am a little conflicted about sharing this; not because I'm greedy but because I originally promised not to spread this around when I got it. I'm going ahead and doing it anyway a) because that was a long time ago, b) you people deserve to hear it, and c) the person I got it from also promised the person he got it from that he wouldn't spread it around. I figure that's gotta set some sorta precedent or something.
In dynamic mono (just like the LP).
Take your pick:
- at AxiFile
- at zSHARE
- at Oxedion
- at MiHD
- at RapidShit
- at FileSend
pw=xhellstromx
Anyway, cheers! And thanks for all the kind comments you've left (and uploads you've shared). I'd love to continue doing this blog but I just can't seem to make the time for it any more. Rather than continuing to half-ass it, like I have since late last year, I'm putting this baby to rest. I'll leave the few remaining old posts up for a while and then kill them off and leave some sort of marker here (just so's one of those Spammy McSpamilton's can't put up an AdLinks blog in its place).

Thanks Mike, to let your decision NOT to share it don't hold you back!
Never heard of this one - I'm really curious how Esquivel sounded before he went to the States to become the Stereo Lounge King.
I'm so thankful that blogs like yours, Xtabays and a bunch of others are still willing to share this fantastic music - I'm willing to hear it, and the beginning of summer here in Europe is just the right time!!
Cheers,
Lucky

Thanks for all the sounds!
This is a very cool bit of Esquivel history. Check out No es Cierto, it seems to be an early version of Whatchamacallit

Hey Mike,
actually you started it all for me and I still thank you for that - it may sound a bit lofty but I'll never forget this blog in my life...
For two pals of mine I compilated a CD as birthday present - actually it's kind of a reminiscence of your activity here.
I would be honoured if you could check it out:

It's in German but the tracklist is international ;-) (the D/L-link is below that).
Wish you all the best - cu l8r, allig8r!
